Connecting Google Drive
Sync contracts from Google Drive to DealView. Set up automatic import and keep your contracts in sync.
Connect your Google Drive to automatically sync contracts to DealView.
Prerequisites
Before connecting:
- You need a Google account with Drive access
- Admin permission in your DealView workspace
- Contracts in Drive must be PDF, DOCX, or DOC format
Connecting Google Drive
- Go to Settings → Integrations
- Find Google Drive and click Connect
- Sign in to your Google account
- Grant DealView permission to access your Drive
- Click Allow to complete the connection
DealView requests read-only access to your Drive. We can only see files you explicitly share or select for sync.
Selecting Folders to Sync
After connecting:
- Click Configure on the Google Drive integration
- Browse your Drive folders
- Select folders containing contracts
- Click Save Configuration
Selected folders will begin syncing automatically.
Sync Behavior
Initial Sync
- All existing files in selected folders are imported
- AI analysis runs on each document
- This may take time for large folders
Ongoing Sync
- New files added to synced folders are automatically imported
- Updated files are re-analyzed
- Deleted files remain in DealView (for audit trail)
Each synced file uses one AI operation. Monitor your quota when syncing large folders.
Sync Settings
Configure sync behavior in Settings → Integrations → Google Drive:

Troubleshooting
Connection failed?
- Ensure you're signed into the correct Google account
- Check that you granted all required permissions
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting
Files not syncing?
- Verify the folder is selected for sync
- Check file format is supported (PDF, DOCX, DOC)
- Ensure auto-sync is enabled
Duplicate files?
- DealView detects duplicates by filename
- Manually remove duplicates if needed
- Check sync settings for duplicate handling
Disconnecting Google Drive
To remove the connection:
- Go to Settings → Integrations
- Click Disconnect on Google Drive
- Confirm the disconnection
Disconnecting doesn't delete already-imported contracts. They remain in DealView for your records.
Security
Your Google Drive connection is secured by:
- OAuth 2.0 authentication (no password sharing)
- Encrypted token storage (AES-256)
- Read-only access (we can't modify your Drive)
- Revocable at any time from DealView or Google
